I thought I'd show you two of the products I acquired in the first round of online madness.
The first is a powder blush. I already own one of Nars' cream blushes, and had heard so much about the velvety pigmentation of the powder ones. Needless to say this wasn't a rushed decision, I had been carefully researching (make-up is a fine art I'll have you know ;) which colour would be correct for me and what I would use the most.
I finally settled on Luster after watching many youtube videos and seeing many swatches/reviews on blogs. Something about it just caught my eye. Nars themselves describe it as a 'sheer golden apricot' which I see as pretty true. It is defiantly peach/apricot based with very little pink, so it would probably suit NC cooler skin tones better.
The thing I was most worried about what the shimmer. I tend to plump more for matte or satin finish blushes in order not to draw attention to pores/other imperfections, but when this is applied to the cheeks there is no dreaded glitter, just a sheen.
Nars Cyprus. This is possibly my favourite eyeshadow of all time. It's surpassed MAC Patina and All that glitters in the most worn stakes. Its so fool proof, I just smudge it all over the lid and through the crease over MAC Painterly paint pot. Boring? Well not really. The sheen (not glitter!!) that this shadow has creates dimension, so it looks more put together and like you've made more of an effort, which is always a good thing.
I did take some swatch photos but unfortunately a combination of rubbishy camera (Mum & Dad have bought me a Nikon for Xmas woo!) and poor lighting (British weather, thanks.) has made them look like completely different products and obviously it would be unfair to show you something that isn't true to life.
Anyway, I hope this was of use to someone! And tell me, what is your favourite Nars product? Enable me to buy more so I don't feel as guilty!!
